About the White River Snowbank Riders

The White River Snowbank Riders was formed by a group of avid snowmobilers who wanted to create a community around their favourite passtime and sport, snowmobiling.

Our Club has been growing each year since its inception, and we're looking forward to a large member base in 2009/2010. It's great to see families spending time together, enjoying the great outdoors, and sharing their love of this sport with others. Our Club organizes many rides and social get-togethers throughout the year.

The members of the Club maintain the "D" trail with great commitment and pride. This leg of the trail is very popular among snowmobiling enthusiasts, due to the central location between Marathon and Wawa, and the well-maintained trails.

If you're interested in becoming a member of our Club, please fill out our online form on the How to Join page. If you're interested in volunteering with our organization, please visit Become a Volunteer for more information.

We Welcome Tourists

White River is a snowmobile friendly community, providing some of the best scenery nature has to offer! Our rugged landscape, wide open spaces and meticulously maintained trails make our area a snowmobiler's paradise.

Our community offers plenty of things to do, and beautiful accommodations for your stay. Take in some ice fishing in our plentiful lakes, or try cross-country skiing. Visit www.whiteriver.ca to learn more about our community.

White River

"The trails around White River encompass a number of driving conditions and some very beautiful scenery. The trails are well maintained by the White River Snowbank Riders. There is ample opportunity to get in a little "off trail playing" also, as there are many areas to pull of the trail system. The trails are a great help accessing some favourite fishing spots. Whether going out on a trip, or just a short relaxing ride, the space to your self is wonderful.

If you are in the mood for a trip, the "D" trail west will lead you to Marathon and Manitouwadge (via "D109A") to travel those loops, while the "D" trail east will take you towards Dubreuilville and Wawa. Being in the centre of the loops, makes White River a great spot to spend the night.

District 16 sure is a wonderful place to ride!"
